Take a walk through Strathcona and experience the voices of young writers in our community. The Story Walk showcases a vibrant selection of stories written by kids and youth across East Van and published by Writers’ Exchange. Join us for the kick-off event at VPL nə́c̓aʔmat ct Strathcona branch, or grab a map and enjoy a self-guided tour. You’ll find stories displayed in neighbourhood windows throughout the festival and beyond!

THE WRITERS EXCHANGE
The Writers’ Exchange is a community that supports under resourced kids and youth to build their confidence and get excited about reading, writing and their own potential! Our programs boost literacy skills and engagement through super-fun creative writing activities and the support of amazing volunteers. At the end of the school year, kids and youth pick their favourite piece of writing to be published in a professionally designed and printed book.
