Let the Body Write

Thursday, May 21, 3:30 pm – 5:00 pm · Carnegie Theatre

We often think of writing as something we do with our minds—but our bodies hold stories too. What if writing didn’t begin in the mind alone? What if stories lived in the body, waiting to be felt, moved, and released? When mind and body collaborate, new creative pathways open. In this workshop, you’ll be guided through simple, gentle movement practices that help unlock creativity and bring new depth to your writing. By tuning into the awareness of physical sensations and gestures, we’ll discover fresh perspectives and unexpected words. No movement or writing experience is required—just curiosity and openness. Join us to explore, play, and connect with your own body-based wisdom as a source of storytelling.
