Writing the News
Saturday, May 23, 1:00 pm – 2:30 pm · Carnegie Classroom II
In this workshop, we are going to write a news story, which begins with the lede that includes the “who, what, where, when, why, and how” of the story in one short sentence. News stories often include quotes, so we will pair up and interview each other for a story, and possibly a quote, or at least a paraphrase. If time allows, we will write a short paragraph that puts the story into a larger context.
