Creative Writing for
ESL Learners

This class is intended to help teach ESL learners how to use creative writing as a way to practice their English, while using personal writing as an outlet. Participants will learn how to use sensory language to express emotions and describe experiences. They will also have the opportunity to share about their experiences with adapting to new places and cultures. Everyone will be welcome to share, but sharing is not required.

SHEILA ARELLANO (she/her)
Sheila Arellano is a queer, Mexican author with eight years of experience in creative writing. She published her debut novel at nineteen and has written two books since. Alongside working full-time, she runs a book coaching business. Today, she’s writing her fourth novel and teaching creative writing workshops.
