Publishing 101

Saturday, May 23, 10:30 am – 12:00 pm · Carnegie Classroom II

Ever wondered how to get your book published by Penguin Random House, or Simon & Schuster? How do you get an agent? In this talk you’ll be introduced to how the traditional publishing industry (TradPub) works, and how to get started down the path of industry writing, from writing “The End” in your manuscript to having it on the shelves in Chapters. Halfway through the talk there will be a short break and an activity on writing queries, the introductory letter you’ll need to send to agents!

Facilitator: Michelle Milton
